Steemit is moving its servers to Amazon and is creating iOS and Android apps. The website will see increased functionality with drag and drop image hosting, post author comment moderation, community namespaces and moderation, achievements, user insignia, mobile notifications, and a new status bar. The Steem blockchain now supports client libraries for JavaScript and Python and allows per post revenue to be shared between authors and community members. Undeserving reward recipients can be blocked. Steemit, Inc.’s controlled primary account @steemit, currently holding 41 per cent of the platform’s Steem Power, will be gradually divested of its holdings. Late this year Steemit plans on introducing Fabric, a parallel blockchain architecture system featuring enhanced scalability, performance, fault isolation and modularity.
